Closed Eyes

When I close my eyes, I see those slanted eyes shining with mischief, the pockmarked cheeks as red as blushing apples in your face after the game, as your lips curve themselves delicately into a pout, then in a wide smile.

When I close my eyes I hear the strums of a serenade and a voice of praise reverberating in my head like a never-ending echo.

I close my eyes to revel in the voice of an angel.
